BRAHMA VANSH

Brahma is one of the prominent Hindu Gods who is considered a creator of the universe. According to the Brahma Purana, he is the father of MANU (from Manu all human beings are descended). As per Purana, Brahma was born from the lotus-flower. As per a famous legend, Brahma was born in water, in form for a seed which turned into a golden egg. The one part of the egg gave birth to Brahma and the rest expended into Brahmand or Universe. Even though, he is a prominent God, he is not worshiped all around in India because he kept an evil eye on his daughter Saraswati under the influence of KAMDEVA.

According to Purana, from the naval of God Vishnu Brahma was born. Then from the eternal thoughts of Brahma Marichi was born. From the eyes of Brahma Atri was born, from his mouth Angiras, from his ears Pulstaya born, from his naval Pulah, from his hand Kritu born, from his skin Mahrishi Bhrigu born, from his PRAN Guru Vashisht born, from his finger Dach, from his shadow kandarv, from his lap Narad, from his desire Sanak, Sanandan, Sanatan, Sanatkumar, from his body Swaymbhuw, Manu and from his meditation Chitragupta.

Purana describes all Brahma’s sons as “Soul of Brahma”. Brahma’s four sons- Sanak, Sanandan, Sanatan and Sanatkumar were appointed to create the Universe but their ignorance in the work made Brahma furious. From his fire of anger, Ardhanariswar Rudra was born. Brahma divided Ardhanariswar into two groups- men and women. In the PRAJAPATYA KALPA, Brahma turned RUDRA into Swaymbhu Manu (the first man) and Satrupa (the first woman). They gave birth to Priyavart, Utanpad, Prasuti and Aakuti. Then Aakuti was married to Ruchi and Prasuti with Dach. Dach and Prasuti gave birth to 24 girls, out of which 13 married to Dharma and Mahrishi Bhrigu married to Khayati, Lord Shiva married to Sati, Marichi married to Sambhuti , Angira to Smriti, Pulsatya to Priti, Pulah to Chama, Kriti to Sannati, Atri to Ansuya, Vishist to Urja, Vahw to Swah and Pitaro to Swadha. They are considered the creator of human beings in the earth. It is Purana that helps to discover family tree of Lord Brahma.

A Glance to Hindu Timeline

Ancient Hindus devised various ways to mark dates where the major emphasis was given to Astrology. The Puranic genealogies begun with mythical events and the earliest Saptarish calendar was started 6676 CCE which was considered the start of genealogies or descents (family tree pattern).

The Ramayana was written by Rishi Valmiki in the 5th millennium BCE and the KURU Vansh was 3100 BCE old. These dates have been examined and verified which prove to be a break-through in deciding the real origin of Indian history. Literary texts like the Mahabharata, Sijupdlavadha and Purana contain the traditions about foundation of Dwarka and its glory. Dwarka on mainland was the busiest ports during KURU Vansh. Krishna lived in Dwarka for 36 years right after Mahabharata war. The period of Krishna Kal is known as YADU Vansh As per Bhagavat Purana, Dwarka submerged into the sea when it was left abandoned by Lord Krishna. The vivid description of submerging of Dwarka is found in the Mausalparvan. In the Mahabharata Kaal (KURU Vansh), Balram is mentioned to have traversed the river Saraswati. Archaeological evidences have proved that there was a city Dwarka and there was a river called Saraswati in 4000 BCE.
